While it has been quite the hurricane season in New England, let’s concentrate on the positive! One positive event was being invited and attending Kehler Liddell Gallery’s twentith anniversary exhibition. The images above are from the closing reception, which was on July 30th. The images are of my piece, Spoon as hung in the gallery along with a couple of my favorite pieces from the show. Kehler Liddell Gallery is an artist-run gallery in New Haven that I was a member of in 2014-2015. Great group of people.

A great way to wait out the thunderstorms is to listen to more readings from my Magic Circle book. The first being, Magic Desert - Donkey, Hawk, and Snakes. This poem takes an irreverent look at facing ones fears while helping others.

If you are in Vermont, Canal Street Gallery has not washed away and is featuring me in an exhibition from August 18 - October 14. Above are my serigraphs that will be in the show. Each highlights our fellow creatures as seen up-close and/or personal except To Be or Not To Be? Forest. Blockhead Otters and Monkey, Evening and Morning Stars, Midday Star, Rising Star, Sun and Star Light Star Bright, will greet you in the gallery and are ready for adoption. To Be or Not To Be? Forest will also be there as a timely reminder of the important choices that lay ahead for humanity. Below is my graphite drawing Star Light, which was the basis for Star Light Star Bright. It will also be in the exhibition but not currently available for adoption.

Another reading Magic Desert - Oryx, Addax and Owls, is a timely poem about getting past old dark ways of thinking and moving towards a bright world of acceptance and appreciation of differences.

For those of you who prefer online exhibitions, click on National Association of Women Artists to see the exhibition Art Angels. Magic is there due to my Signature membership and volunteer work for this amazing women’s art organization. I have made Magic available for adoption for the first time so do not delay.

The final reading from my Magic Desert - Camel, Snake, and Gecko is about self-sufficiency and not letting others determine your path in life.
